Many of the musicians Al Stovall has worked with over the years say that they can recognize his sound anywhere. The combination of his warm rich trumpet sound, lyrical jazz improvisation and sensitive phrasing make him a natural to perform Jazz Trumpet in a way that invites you to listen and be totally enveloped equally by the melody and his sensual Jazz Trumpet sound.
Throughout his career, Al Stovall has been praised for both the art and the craft of trumpet playing. His soulful sound has made him a featured Jazz Trumpet soloist and recording artist. Al Stovall is a two time San Diego Jazz Live KSDS 88.3 FM alumus and former member of the KSDS Jazz All-Stars.
Al Stovall has a distinctive Smooth San Diego Jazz Trumpet sound and can be heard regularly at premiere Jazz clubs in San Diego and Southern California and is available for recording and live events in San Diego, Southern California and Jazz Festivals around the world.
